Terms of Use

The service

PetLocale provides a community platform for pet owners in Niš and the surrounding area: feed, profiles, messaging, pet records, Discover map, saved local businesses, offers, and tools to connect with groomers and veterinarians. Features may change over time.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old (or older if required where you live) and confirm this when registering. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may require email and mobile phone verification before certain features are available. Notify us immediately at dijana.nikolic@petlocale.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may delete your account at any time in the mobile app (Settings → Delete account) or see https://petlocale-stg.invitious.com/account/delete for details.

User content

You retain ownership of content you post. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute it solely to operate the service.

You must follow our https://petlocale-stg.invitious.com/community-guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules or applicable law.

Location and maps

Some features use your device location only while the app is open, such as showing your position on the Discover map. Other features store map coordinates that you manually place—for example on lost/found posts, sightings, alerts, or events.

You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of locations you publish. Do not misuse location data to harass others or mislead the community. You can manage location permission in your device settings at any time.

Bookings with groomers and vets

When you book an appointment with a groomer or vet through PetLocale, the contact details listed in our Privacy Policy are transferred to the chosen salon or clinic, which then acts as an independent controller of that data under its own privacy policy and is responsible for retention obligations under applicable accounting and consumer-protection law. PetLocale acts as the platform operator and is not the controller of the salon’s or clinic’s client records.

Appointment availability, pricing, quality of service, and cancellations are between you and the provider unless we explicitly state otherwise.

Partner invitations and offers

Groomers and veterinary clinics using Petlocale may send you an SMS invitation to join and link your account to their client record. By registering through such an invitation or accepting it while logged in, you agree that we may match your phone number to the invitation and add the business to your saved places.

Local business offers and coupons displayed in the app are provided by participating groomers, vets, or other partners. Redemption and validity rules are shown in the app and may require staff confirmation at the business.

Acceptable use

Do not use PetLocale to break the law, harass others, post illegal or abusive content, impersonate others, spam, scrape the service, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with security or performance.

Disclaimer

PetLocale does not provide veterinary or medical advice. Community posts, chat messages, and pet health notes are not a substitute for professional care. Use emergency services when needed.

The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PetLocale and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for user content or actions of third-party service providers.

Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
